Who is getting excited?
<

Just think- in 21 days from this time stamp there will be 7 JHO'ers sleeping in queen sized beds snooring and farting it up in 2 far sides of this expance of a mansion! Those that can't sleep from the racket and vapor clouds will be getting less sleep.

And this one will be on a Full Mattress all to himself and the first one down the hill when the alarm goes off at 0430.
<

Don't worry- some may hear a Diesel startup at that time in the morning for your alarmclock.
<
(unless someone will be hunting the spots I have in mind- Then I may let Neutral and Gravitry take it's course for at least .5 miles.

I started running on the outdoor range with a pack full of bricks by the time I reached the 10th. stage I couldn't lift my bow to take the shot and just dragged my sorry ass down the hill and back to the truck. Went home and performed pre hunt testing on the new margarita buckets I just picked up. It's a just add tequilla and dispense rig but I thought I better not just bring it down to the cabin without performing some tests to make sure that
1. it tastes good
2. it has the proper tequilla to mix ratio. I used the ratio rite cup that I mix 2cycle oil for my old bultaco I think I set it at 40:1 so I think it's ok although I don't know why they give you so much mix with the bucket when you have to dump 1/2 of it out to get the right ratio of tequilla. Anyway after some help with testing I found that some people stil prefered Jagr shooters with red bull! i never heard of such a thing but everyone has the right you know! but I'm sticking with the Margaritas. And some Tsing Tao brewskies.
After the testing concluded I was unable to determine anything so I guess it's ok.
I just need to figure out how many of them to bring.
3. How long does a bucket last? I had five or six and she had 3 or 4, and a couple other people had some. There's a lot left! this could take some time to sort out but have faith guys I am up to the task. Beatrs running around the hill with last years xmas gifts.

Hey, for all you April hunters, I spent the day on Sunday becoming certified as a CBH official measurer. Sooooo if you have any deer, pigs, bear, elk etc that you shot with your bow here in CA and want them scored and entered in the CA big game book (archery) bring them along. Only costs $10 to enter an animal and you get a free 1 year membership with your first animal entered. The minimum entry levels are very attainable and are lower than P&Y. Kirk, you have at least one that I know would make book (probably more), if you still have the skull bring it along.

The pig I took at Choppers last May scores roughly 31 7/8". Minimum is 23" to get in and the state record is 43" and change. I will have backcountry officially score it for entry since I can't score my own critter for obvious reasons. As of the current book (2003) he would have been #130.

See you all soon. I'll start up a separate thread about 2 weeks before the April hunt so we can chat and plan meals etc without all those pesky March hunters bothering us

I may have to pack one of them buckets along with me so I don't feel the pain of hiking up and down those hills.
I think I might find a nice spot to set up the blind and the direct tv. thanks for the info on that JD turns out as long as I get an unobstructed veiw of the south the dish should work!
Think Ill plant it right near one of them pig trails set the bucket out front with the lid off and just set back watch some PBR or something and just wait for the hogs to come in for a drink!

Dang nice pictures Chopper good to see someones helping us thin the herd for them April foolers.
How bout we count those two for the march team we could use the help and hell they do it in golf all the time.

How many guys on the march team have taken hogs at choppers?
How many guys on the April team have taken hogs at choppers ? I mean killed not dated.

For the April hunters I think it's me, Bubba and 'slinger that have taken hogs at Choppers. Of the 8 of us, I think 3 have never been to Choppers before. The March guys will have speak for themseves but I think something like 5 have never been to choppers. I know PIGIG has done some pig sticking and not from a "social" perspective.

BDB told me the location his secreat spot on the phone last Friday while he was in a drunken stupor and had to spill his guts because the guilt of not being in on the first hunt was killing him.
<
(at the same time he was playing hit the pedestrian as he was driving through the city
<
)

I will not hunt there though- I would never take advantage of my brother when he was cought with his guard down.

Ok- Ok- I wish to come clean.

BDB was not in a drunken stupor, did not play "hit the pedestriatan" while driving and did not tell me his secreat spot.
<

We just talked about another JHO'er that I/we was worried for and it sounds Gravey!
<

Dan

Ps BDB- I will leave some toilet paper for you on the branch of the 4th tree NE of the 1900' grade up to the poison ivy meadow. It should still be down wind from my stained watered down skibbies I will have to burry to keep the pigies comming back.
<

PSS- sorry if I gave you the wrong impression to others Bro.

Yes... cuts both ways... less JHO and archery practice during the week, but more mun$y to buy more :bling-bling

I was holding out for so long because I wanted to get a job in my niche field (geotechnical engineering) and lo-and-behold it has happened...
