Sure wish I could join you guys. Unfortunately, I am going to be stuck in Vegas for work.

AS come on, you have to go on this trip...you have put some animals in the freezer over at Sonoma-- a hog and a Pope & Young buck! At least get out there for a half-day hunt!

OK, since AS is not going, I think you guys need an expert hunter representing the group...to help with hunting questions in the field and potential gear problems/remedies back at camp. Does anybody have KingWouldBe's number? That guy is the Bomb! Man, just the thought of recurves, cedar arrows and big traditional broad heads give me butterflys in my stomach! I would offer to help but I can't even close a 20 yard shot over at Lake Somoma.

Also, please be advised that when camping with, or near Lurediver, it is mandatory to sleep in a hard-sided vehicle!

I will be doing some gardening that weekend, I wish you all the best!

Lure-

That's called bukeing. It's when you belch and a little puke comes up. I'm sorry for being so damn uninformed........I was just wondering what the dates were. I guess I could just look and find out for myself, but if anyone wants to throw it out there I wouldn't complain. I'd love to come up and say hi......I'll be the guy without the bow.

Give 'Em Hell!!!!

Bux-n-Dux-

Ranger Joel has all the info pinned in the bowhunting forum. Make sure you read all the sections because there are a lot of details. Each hunter must be pre-registered and must sign in each visit. It's not a big deal but we are all trying to follow every rule so that this special hunt can continue. There are some neighbors and anti-hunting folks who are looking for any little reason to shut this down permanently.

The area has fabulous terrain and gorgeous scenery. I hunted there many times last season but never got close. During Wed-Fri the place is practically deserted of people. Season opens Nov 19, but I'm working. I'll probably skip the first weekend since it sounds like there's gonna be a crowd (it doesn't take many people to put a lot of pressure on the place-- the pigs simply run away onto the adjoining private lands...). You're more than welcome to come if you'd care to tag along and want to walk some very steep hills. My first Lake Sonoma hunt will be Wed Nov 26 and I'll be there most Wednesdays for most of the season. Also during the shotgun slug month there I really want to hit it hard. Give a shout if interested.

Thanks Zumi-

I don't have a bow but was thinking of driving up and possibly stay overnight. I would like to meet and say hi to some of the people who have been so kind and generous to me on this sight. I only live about an hour from there. I got drawn one year for a hunt on Lake Sonoma area but didn't end up hunting. Thanks for the info and invite and perhaps I will see you out there sometime.

I'm actually a newbie so you might really be the only hunter in Sebastopol.

I do lots of spearfishing but in the last couple of years I've added bowhunting and rifle hunting. I love going up to Lake Sonoma with my bow, so if you ever want to carpool and boatpool, give a shout.

Regards
John

Considering I live 20 min from lake sonoma, I would love to tag along for this hunt. I usually hunt the lake alone, but would love to meet you guys.
