For the fence sitters that need motivation.....I'm seeing 20+ hogs a weekend right now and getting 2-3 rolls of film a week off my game cams on the ranch. Of those pics about 80% are of hogs. Don't take that as a guarantee of success, but the place is lousy with pigs, and the ranch's scenery is worth at least half the admission price. Over the next couple weeks I'll start posting game cam pics again. Just been too busy to sit at the scanner to load them all on.

Believe me, I've petitioned all the saints in heaven for the stars to align (and IRS to cooperate with my refund) for me to be there.

Again, thanks to all of you. This should be out there in the hall of fame stories. Imagine you've helped me find my way back to the camp after the accident Friday evening. Then helped me dragged my hog the following day?

Who is it who said upon seeing my bloody hands Saturday morning after I've field dressed the hog: What is he up to this time? (LOL)

Will all the members of the 'ol gang be able to make it in this hunt?

Both Norm and George will not be attending this hunt so you won't be hearing "Oh no, not him again". But the usual crew of my older son Mark (Suzmar1997), Kenny (Huntsndives) and Kenny's dad from North Dakota will be there. Can't wait.......

Don't count me out yet. Last year, I also thought I would not be able to make it. It was an 11th hour receipt of my refund check and Speck graciously accommodated my last minute sign up.

Powerman is a good buddgy. We both got lucky -- when we're not hunting together (LOL). Buddy still but I had to disclose to him I jinx hunting companions. And, I don't want to break your 100% success rate.

Carl - Good luck to yah all! How far nationwide are your hunting buddies? North Dakota is so far off.

All my buddies are local. Kenny's father does alot of deer hunting in ND and thought he would try the pig hunting for a change. He also wanted to meet the great Speckmisser in the flesh.

Give me a pic of a rompin' stompin' red boar...If there's any chance of hanging one on the wall here at the Rancho - it's gonna be a red one. I got a look at one two years ago before it disappeared into thin air, and I think of that sucker all the time.
