Nope luck last night. But, we found the awesome area where they are feeding in the beans. We could hear them on the hill behind and aboveus walking around, snapping twigs, but, to no avail.

While scouting with the boys ( Bighorn67/Orso ) yesterday morning after their hunt, we were walking the edge of the evening field, when suddenly, we all froze dead still, as the wind stuffed our noses full of Boar scent.
There are beds in the creek that run alondside these feeding fields, holding the pigs in some outrageously tight, impenetrable cover.
But, the activity is finally increasing on a daily level. As the growing season is in it's last 6 weeks, the activity on the part of the pigs increases greatly. The Boys have 8 more days of hunting here with me as they purchased a 10 day, self guided discount hunt.
They will be posting of their exploits shortly.

Back at work after a really good weekend. It was a pleasure meeting Tom (Pig Guide) and I look forward to going back for some hunting and B.S.ing with him. I liked the property. Fresh pig sign on both days but just didn't get on any. Bighorn did see some Saturday night and we decided to hunt that bean field Sunday night. I was laying out in the middle of the field on my belly waiting for them to cross where we thought they might. That was pretty cool. I heard a couple of branches snap in the thick stuff that edged the field but they just wouldn't come out. The hunting is only going to get better as the beans mature. Lots of deer up there. I got within 20 feet of a couple of does twice and bumped another deer (to dark to see if it was a buck) on Saturday evening while getting back to the truck.

I'll be seeing Tom a few more times over the next few weeks and I am looking forward to it. He was very helpfull on showing us the property and getting us where we needed to be to make the most of our hunt. Tom is straight forward, calls it like he sees it and is one of the guys you want to have out in the field with you. He's good people.

I can only say that I am really looking forward to getting up there again at the end of the month. Tom has some great property that is loaded with pigs and deer not to mention the quail, doves, ground squirrels and coyotes.

I am heading back up at the end of the month to see if I can't get on 'em. They should be hitting the beans hard by then.

Tom is extremely accomodating and a hoot to hang out with.

What's REALLY funny is that Dave and I DID range his for target aquisition.

He caught us doing that.

The funniest thing was what Bighorn did to Orso.

I loaned Orso, one of my radio ear pieces. As the light was dimming, and we could hear the pigs milling about on the hillside, Bighorn, keyed the earbud and lightly " Pig snorted " into the mike. It's truly amazing to see a human, lying in beans, whirl their head around at super sonic speed.

We were just beyond tickled. Orso had this look that said we were going to pay for that stunt. We were just cracking us up. Really we were.

Actually. Orso????? Are you just buttering me up to get another breakfast burrito out of me???????

As the light kept getting dimmer and dimmer all I could think was that Dave was gonna let loose an arra right in my arse thinking I was a freakin' pig.

That burrito was pretty darn good.

You people are really sick, you know that!!

AS - I pulled the arra out and I'm sending it to you for a good cleaning.

Lure - Ya know, those were boxers when I first bought'em.

And Chopper just sits back and gets a good laugh at all of this... Ha, Ha, Ha....Good thing I'm comfortable with the real ME.

I decided to pass on shooting Orso in the a$$ since I didn't have a judo point with me. He did look cozy hunkered down in those beans like that.
