Join the Creek Cruisin' event July 19 at Hubble Creek in Jackson City Park.
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. -- Naturalists with the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center will lead a Creek Cruisin' event Saturday, July 19, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Hubble Creek in Jackson City Park.
Sara Turner, manager of the nature center, said this program's purpose is to serve as a reminder that nature is all-around us, even within the city limits.
"We'll dip-net, seine and explore the creek while wading in the water to find aquatic insects, small fish and maybe some other critters," Turner said.
