A big, black, beautiful, nasty looking, mean looking, angry looking boar. Congratulations!!!! That is one nice shot at the point of the shoulder. Deadly!!!! Thanks for sharing the beautiful picture. 'Nuff said.

He was one of my favorites here- he has brothers though! He got gutted in the field

before I could get him on a scale.
He probably weighed well over 320 or more. Really clean boar too, he'll be very good eating which is rare on that size boar. Been on the barley for awhile- had some "cover" ( a term we use for the fat percent the animal carries) on him -

OK here's some photos of this weekend's hunt...
This is such a great story, two of our hunters had never killed ANYTHING before, brand new to hunting, rifles, pigs & even squirrel shooting. With Malibu's help at the rifle range for a couple weeks they practiced before they got here- this is a father / son team.

So into the field the father/son team go- around 6:15 - and sure enough here comes my meat hogs right on schedule at 6:45... The son fires his first shot at a living animal -SCORE #1!!! One shot fired and we've got a nice pig down. And one very happy novice hunter! Good work at the target range guys.

OK, so we get the first hog gutted & the pictures taken. It's now 7:30 PM and we are back in position for the father to shoot. We wait for the "late shift" on the hogs, and in came a great one for the father around 7:50 PM. Everyone was nice and quite, this beastie boy came within 50 yards to meet his maker. One shot fired by the father from his .270 also HIS first shot at any living animal, SCORE #2!!! Nice shot placement- hog dies 50 yards later almost instantly.

Here's a few of the tusks - hog's going to the taxidermy - and I believe they are out shopping for a freezer.

No one has run my Kali off have they? I am busy making room in my freezer for that big spotted critter.

Deedy you are on a roll.
