I'm surprised to see this. Kentucky has only (relatively) recently restored their own herd. It seems ambitious to deplete the KY herd by numbers large enough to propagate a second herd in MO. Whatever the situation; I applaud their willingness to share as they were shared with themselves. :thumbs up2:

This is very cool! I saw something like this on the Jim Zumbo show about
Pennsylvania re-introducing elk. I hope more states that originally had elk jump on board.

I'd like to see them introduced & flourish in every state. Then maybe I could find a decent camping spot here come Elk season.

Kentucky's herd is doing very well. So much so that many folks in the elk zone are complaining about the crop damage and car accidents they are causing.

We live about 30 miles from where they are putting the elk. Looking forward to seeing and hearing them in the fall. But as to hunting them, that will be a long time with the odds. Ky has a great herd now, 11000 animals and growing. They can spare a few for us.
