Well you may remember a story I posted last year about my dad's La Panza Bull Hunt.

After seeing a good many elk on that hunt, and having permission from the same ranch owner for a future hunt, we decided it might be best for my grandfather (85) to just put in for a cow tag. He had max points, but who knows if he'd be able to ever draw a bull tag while he could still hunt. So of course with max points, the draw was successful. We knew the area well, and had seen lots of elk the previous year. I figured it would be a one day hunt, boom, back home for lunch... Well sure enough, it wasn't. We saw elk every day, cept they were all bulls! And nice ones too. We did manage to spot a good many cows, but they were always on another property. To make a long story short, we have three days left to get it done. We glass the usual areas and pastures where they usually like to feed in the morning. I see a group of about 12-15 cows heading over the fence and onto the ranch. We make our way down a deep creek, and I pop my head out at about where I think we will intercept them. Sure enough, they are about 75 yards away and feeding right towards us. I put down the bipod and get my grandfather situated as best we he on the rim of the creek bank. A few seconds later he lets one fly, and its curtains for the gal.
It's great just to be able to still hunt with my grandfather, but being there to see him fill his tag just makes it that much more memorable. I'll keep getting in as many hunts with him as I can, while I can, and filming them as well.
Here is a video of the hunt. Some footage of pigs, turkeys, and a few nice bulls too, and of course the kill shot
