Went up to my place yesterday afternoon. It's been a lousy acorn year (unlike last year that was a bumper crop) and I didn't see a lot of rooting. Took a quad ride and came across a big boar but he ran off before I could get my rifle up. 30 minutes later I was on top of a ridge and spotted another boar dropping into the valley. I dropped down myself and had an easy stalk using a hill between us to get within 50 yards. Nice boar with cool colors - 225 lbs. Spent this morning butchering him for sausage and jerky.

Really nice. I recommend dropping a shoulder in the pressure cooker for 2 hours with a couple cups chicken broth and basic seasoning. Then once done shred it up and add your favorite bbq sauce and you will have amazing pulled pork sandwiches 57F6F071-D2AA-41EB-A1F9-3F71AB72CD08.jpeg
