Went deer hunting at my place - didn't see a single buck but ran into a nice group of hogs around 9am this morning. Saw them grazing on a back ridge and moved up into position as they came across the ridge above me. Picked the biggest dry sow, only about a 75 yard shot. At first I though I'd missed as she didn't make a sound and ran off, and I saw a puff of dirt where the bullet hit the ground. Turns out the Barnes TSX (135 grain, 270) had passed right thru with a big exit hole, she only ran 30 yards or so before dropping. Now time to get something with horns!
