Well guys finally got my first archery hog.Got up to the lake at 5:45 sunday morning.Hike in about 2 mlies at dark to a spot where the hogs have been moving from bedding area to bedding area.Sat in between the two bedding areas next to a well used trail.Next thing I know out of the corner of my eye here comes three hogs.Get ready for my shot and they spot me.They take off running and I let out a grunt and the third hog stops looks back and gives me enough time to draw back the Mathews and let one fly.The 40 yard shot hits him a little far back and he takes off running.I watch him run about 50-60 yds. and stop.He stood there for about 15 mins. before I decide to sneak up on him for a second shot,I let another one fly and I get a good hit(double lung). To make a long story short this boar was a tough SOB.I shot him 4 times and tracked him for about a half a mile before he expired.

Congratulations. I know how much work it takes to get one on public land. It takes me an average of two years, and I hunt almost every weekend during this time of the year. All the talk about water rationing, and the reservoir is almost full. Thanks for the beautiful pictures.

Outstanding. Way to keep working it. Enjoy the pork; sounds like you tenderized him pretty well!

Good job!!! Try not to make a long story short we want the feel of the entire hunt.
