Lake Sonoma Hunt

I was planning on doing some hunting in the Lake Sonoma area but I'm unfamiliar with this land. Any words of advice? Are most hunting with dogs? Thanks in advance!

dogs are not allowed for (pig)hunting at Lake Sonoma as far as I know.

and my advice is, just get up there, register and go for a walk...thats what i do.

search the forums, lots of useful info here, just gotta look.

Thanks jp! I'm new to pig hunting so every bit helps. I did a bit of browsing and this forum is great. Very interested in getting into bow hunting as I only use gun now. Looks like I came to the right place!

First of all welcome to JHO!!! This is by far the best site and everybody is more than willing to help out.. A lot of veterans on here

The best advice you will get is to make friends with someone who has a boat! Or convince your wife that you need your own. This is tough country to hunt. Keep your eyes posted for Rachel aka, VCgirls post for the upcoming 2013-2014 hunt season and get here early!
