Lake Sonoma off topic (archery range)

Hey Guys,
The Sonoma County Bowmen have just received permission to build an archery range down the hill from Lone Rock. I don’t know when they are going to start work on it, but I’m sure it will be soon.:smiley_yahoo:
On a side note, I have been promoted to Natural Resource Specialist/Ranger (read that as boring office job) and I’ll be turning the management of the hunts over to Joe Lishka and Michael Carroll (the guy with the southern accent) at the visitor center. I have enjoyed meeting a lot of you and working with all of you on the hunts here at the park.

Though I never got a chance to visit Lake Sonoma but I heard many things about it. Just wondering if rifle hunters are allowed to hunt there, if so, what is the procedure and regulations.

I'm one of the club VP's. Sonoma County Bowmen will be setting up work parties to start getting the range set up. We're hoping to get it going ASAP. We are going to be pretty busy with our weekly 3D shoots starting next week out in Two Rock and our Ultimate Bowhunt 3D tourney in early May. We plan on 14 field targets and a site in range from what I'm hearing. Can't wait to get it going. The range will be open to the public and we appreciate any donations that we get to help us maintain the range.
If any archers in the area want to join Sonoma County Bowmen let me know and I'll get you an application.
