Lake Sonoma Pig Hunt

Just wanted to let everyone know that we have permission to do the pig hunts at the lake again this year! Most likely the hunts will start at the end of November. Also for the hunters who like to stay at Liberty Glenn campground or for hunters who drive a distance to the lake we now have a cabin for rent. Its $60 a night and reservations can be made with Rachel at the visitor center.
I just got done paper tuneing my bow at West Coast archery and got suckered into buying the new Matthews crossbow so im ready to stick a few pigs! See you guys out there.

This is just the normal hunt that Lake Sonoma offers . The price is $30 for the season which generally runs from end of November to mid April. This hunt is Archery only and when the dates are firm we will post them up.

Haha, ya!. My old Parker has seen better days and is tired of hammering the pigs. Hans let me shoot the Matthews 360 at his shop in Peatluma and it felt nice. Hit dead center on the X first shot. Plus its all shiny and new looking!

i like ruffin it anyways when it comes to camping at the lake, tent or the back of the suv works for me!
i got to redial my crossbow back in for this season at the lake and hopefully Jayson we can share a hunt at the lake together agian before i move to FL. my friend, i am really going to miss Lake Sonoma!......tra

White mamba stated that it's an archery only hunt. You really can't beat that price at all. Only bad thing for me is that I'm almost 5 hours away. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh....
Well the good thing is that you all have one less hunter to worry about. LOL

my bad. maybe I need to re word my ???? Is there a rifle season and if so. How much is it. ?? I read that the hunt in this post is archery only season of 6 months for $30. I have never heard of a deal like this. So I wonder if there is a smoking good deal for rifle hunters also. sorry if I asked that wrong b4... and yes... don't worry about me also, im in kern county.. lol

There is no rifle hunting it is archery only!

Is crossbow considered archery in this case? Only asking because I have a crossbow but not a bow, and know for deer I have to use it during rifle season only, but this is pig so maybe a crossbow is ok?

Thank you for the info. I have read that George is a good guy and knows his stuff real well. But for now I can not pay 400-500 bucks to hunt a pig. Like I said b4. I was just excited to see any hunt for $30. Wake up ktkt.. this is not tx. lol

Looks like the hunt will start Nov 23.

TRA if I havnt harvested a bear I should be able to hunt with you before you leave, get ready!
