Lake Sonoma pig hunters

Just wanted to let everyone know that we have received permission to do a archery only deer hunt at the lake again this year. The cost will be $500 for a semi guided day hunt in the wilderness area and we will also be allowed to hunt pigs as well!
100% of the money goes back to benefit the park and its programs.

Jayson is a great guide! Had a blast up there last year and I did harvest a little, buck. There are plenty of deer up there, it's just not that easy to get on them. With a rifle it would be a no brainer. You will chase bucks around everyday. Whether or not things come together is a different story. Make sure you are in shape and can move quick. Well worth the time and effort. If I don't draw WY this year I'll be back up there Jayson!

Last year we started during rifle season. I took out 5 people. 2 out of 5 scored a buck. Everyone got within 30 -50 yards of a buck. Some got on bucks multiple times. We saw pigs 65% of the time and now have permission to harvest a pig as well.

I hunt that same country on a private ranch (we probably share animals), not a 1/2 mile away. It's tough steep country that holds game, period. It's a hunters paradise and can be a "killers" Eleanor if the point is to harvest. You will see bucks, you most likely will see pigs, and if that isn't a successful hunt I don't know what is.

Griff and I will be elk hunting in WY this year. Maybe we can get up there next year if the hunt is still going on. Best of luck this season and let me know how it goes. We really had a great time except for the all night drive home! You should've seen us. It was classic!!!

Yes I know that. Lake Sonoma is in A zone and this is a special hunt. I don't hunt A zone but use my AO tag for B and other zones. So if LS will not honor an AO tag for this hunt I am not going to waste 1 of my tags on A zone only.

Either a A zone or AO tag will work. This hunt is during general A zone season and is archery only but you can use a crossbow during rifle season
