Lake Sonoma sow

It wasn't raining so I took the chance to hike with my bow this morning. As a bonus some pigs ran by me. So I shot one. While I kept my eye on it, (it was busy dying), another herd ran by not more than 30 yds away.
The arrow never made it into the body cavity. It went in as the pig was running away, high and along the spine. It bled pretty good. No meat was damaged, except for the end of one of the backstraps.
I was lucky. It was a great day!

Nice!, thats probably the same group I jumped last weekend. I hope they stick around 1 more day as I will be up there tomorrow. I have a pretty good idea where I might find them sleeping.
