nope no pics, and I was alone. But I saw it for over a minute at close range . imagine a bobcat with the colors reversed.Except the spots were more lighter. gave the spots a transparent kinda look. I always like to hunt that area for deer as theres a genetic trace up there that produces a lot of non typicals. you see some really strange antlers. Anyway I had never heard of a black bobcat either, but I know what I saw. and I've seen quite a few bobcats in my life, maybe not hundreds but at least several dozens.Originally posted by onecoyote@Feb 27 2004, 11:52 PM
A black bobcat? Very interesting indeed, that has to be a first for me, I've never even heard of a black bobcat. I have heard of black Mt lions and Jaguars AKA black panthers, but never a bobcat. Do you have a picture of this cat or a witness? I don't want to say I know better, but I've seen a few hundred live and dead bobcats in my life but never anything close to black. More info on such a cat would be very interesting to say the least, Good Hunting.
