Late, late elk hunt.

Leaving for a late, late cow elk hunt in Unit 10, Colorado. This will be my first trip to this part of Colorado for elk so something different for sure. We usually hunt SW Colorado in the third season. Will post when I get back.

I'm confused. Didn't Colorado 4th elk season end back in November? Is this some kind of special hunt? Or some sort of private land hunt?

There are some limited late cow hunts in some units. We are in unit 10.

Dad and I spent yesterday scouting for the other guys. We found two groups of elk. The guys went after one of those groups today and found them but couldn't close the deal.

Back after them tomorrow then dad and I are going to head back to Calif on Friday and try to dodge the storms.
