Here is the latest photo I've taken. Been waiting for the snow to arrive so I can take some winter photographs.
Hope you like it.

Bro Wolf,

Nice pic. I took a couple yesterday here in GA when we got snow, but man the snow plays havoc on getting a nice photo. I took about 50 and none were worth anything. These were not good, but at least the first shows what we encountered in HOT LANTA yesterday:) The second shows the only one not affected by single digit temps and below zero wind chills.

Thanks for sharing with us.

Rut, I shoot a Canon PowerShot S40, and I had it on the "auto" setting. I also use the Blackand white setting quite a bit, I tried this one in color because I had a ton of photos of this pump house in black and white.

Very neat photo BrotherW. It would probably look good in B&W also.

Jim, I really like your snow picture too. I wish we had snow around here sometimes.lol I was going to ask what kind of camera you were using and if you were using a polarizer. The colors of the sky are deep and true, not washed out. Just curious.

Great photos guys.

TXC,

Thanks for the compliments...

I use an Olympus C700. I took so many pics that day and this was the only one even close to decent. My fault, not the cams.

Go to my website and then to "My Online Photo Album" for more (and better) pics. I am really enjoying the camera these days. I have learned a lot off www.dpreview.com

Jim, do you go to dpreview.com's Olympus msg board? I check it out every day. There is sooo much useful info over there. I'm amazed by all the knowledge on that one board. I post sometimes there. My user name was "Beaux" but I changed it to "Jason".lol

Tex,

Yeah I am there a couple of times a day. "huntinginga" Huge amount of info. Unbelieveble amount of info.

Of course most of them are probably not into the whole hunting thing:)

They have not hit me too hard yet!

Hey Jim, I bet at some point and time the hunting issue will come up.lol Do you ever go to photosig.com? If not, join and definatly check it out. It is an awesome picture posting and critique site, where you can see some of the greatest (and worst) photography from all over the world. Many of the people are pros and their work is amazing. I learn alot by just looking at the compostition of photos and learning what shutter speed, aperature, filters etc people use for certain photos. But back to my main point. I've seen some people post outdoors pictures and mention they took it while hunting or some people will post pictures of guns......geez those people get irate!!! I bet 9 out of 10 of them are anti-hunters and anti-gunners.

You definatly wouldn't want to post a picture of yourself with a big buck you killed!

I like the second, but am not a fan of sephia???

I have posted pics from the stand and have not received any flack yet. However I keep my kill shots to my website.

I have been by photosig, cannot remember if I am registered or not.

Will check it out again.

YES!!! CoPilot, I like the B&W of BrotherW.'s barn. The B&W, especially in this instance, erases any way of knowing how old the photo is. Also B&W is especially nice when there there his high white balance. The bright white snow makes it even better. Just giving my 2 cents.

I think the B&W turns a great photo into an awesome, artistic photo. Looks great.

Thanks for letting me know I still have the touch if you will. Anyone can do this with a forty dollar photo program. These pics that I've posted anywhere on here are all untouched by me as far as I know so is this pump house. Photo programs come with "tools" per sey called grayscale and sepheia and much more. Just click on it and whalla!
