Thinking about heading up to Piute mountain area this weekend to hunt some tree squirrels. From my understanding, one can hunt small game animals with lead rounds, correct? If not, anyone know where I might find lead-free 22lr now or wants to sell a box, pm me.

Pretty new to hunting tree squirrels, so this will be interesting, especially if it snows as the forecast predicts.

Good luck!

Let us know if you find ANY .22LR. I haven't been able to get any CCI ammo around where I live. The 'cheap' Federal stuff I can find is cheap only in quality; $10 for a box of 50.

Feel free to PM me with any SF Bay area 22LR ammo spottings.
