Learn stream trout fishing at Bass Pro Shops seminar
Jim Matthews, Outdoor News Service
Spots still remain in my stream trout fishing seminar being held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 10, at Bass Pro Shops in Rancho Cucamonga. The class is being held on the eve of the Sierra Nevada trout season opener to give anglers who aren’t familiar with stream fishing the basics they need to be successful.
The class will cover fishing techniques, rigging, collecting and use of natural baits, from grasshoppers to stonefly nymphs and caddisfly larvae, reading the water, and important tips on stealth. I’ll also explain the differences between fishing for wild or native trout and planted hatchery fish.
Cost for the seminar is $40 per person, with all members of the family in the same household included in that price. An informational flyer and registration form is available on our web site at
Outdoor News Service, or you call call my office at 909-887-3444 with questions or to register over the phone.
