There is always Mark Twain National Forest. Or you could check out the MO Dept. of Conservation's website for Conservation ground near you.

I know its a little late, but not for sure of much lease land around Missouri. Mark Twain is probably your best bet, but that is probably about 2.5 hours away. But if it is anything like it used to be, just find a spot to pull off the side of the road and you are good to go. I used to hunt up there near Ft. Leonard Wood near Buckhorn and we would usually do pretty good. They had a big deer die off up there some years back, but havent been back up since now that I live in Texas. I have plenty of family and friend land to hunt down around Springfield.

Good luck and let us know if you find anything.

I live in St. Louis and have a couple options for you.

1. If you're new to MO, make sure you apply for the management hunts next July. There's several great trophy hunts available if you're lucky enough to get drawn. Just do your research on the Missouri Dept of Conservation website and pick your place, and apply.

2. Howell Island: It's right in your backyard and is a great place to bowhunt when you don't have time to drive. (ex: after work/before work quick hunts). It's archery only and is located in Chesterfield Valley along the Missouri river. (PS: there were some giants shot out there this year)

I hope this gives you a couple more options
