Kansas City, Mo. – Shelby Winslow of Lee’s Summit recently scored 290 out of a possible 300 to win third place in an international archery tournament June 29 and 30. Winslow represented Summit Lakes Middle School at the 2013 NASP World Championship in St. Louis. The tourney is part of the National Archery in Schools Program.
“That was really exciting to have someone from our area there and have them among the top,” said Chris Capps, an outdoor skills specialist for the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC).
