Tips up to Leica. I had a bushnell yardage pro 800. While it got the job done, it could NOT be used as a monocular. The picture is dark and cloudy around the edges. It's functions are slowly deteriorating so I picked up the Leica's and was amazed at the bright, sharp clarity. The rangefinder function works like a charm. This is more than adequate to double as a monocular when groundhogging.

Check out the Lecia's in person before you purchase your next rangfinder.

Well, I'm a man of value.....and, yeah...my Bushnell 400 yardage pro has served me well.

Now, that I've had a Leica for a couple years....I must say, YES, it can double as a monocular and the near instantaneous readings it gives me out to 900+ yards is very nice.

Although the ergonomics could use some enhancements, it's a solid tool with distinct advantages of an instantaneous, accurate read in a myriad of conditions...

Leica must have something going on...I haven't heard of much of a riff between the Minox and Leica so there's probably some good will there too.
