Lets see em! Here is my biggest one if i can get the pic to work - skull is 14 inches long, 16 measured from top skull to nose, and bottom tusks are 8 inches long total around the curve, 2.5 inches exposed, and cutters are 2 inches thick!
Aint no trophies...but my dad thinks they look cool. I had a skin hanging on a tree down in our valley and he snatched the skull out once all the maggots dropped.
I think you can do better if you would bury it in the ground for about a year, more or less.
It will come out a little brownish depends on the soil but clean.
thanks. I killed this boar back in december '03 up in monterey county. was still hunting a pond with fresh wallows from the night before. i was in full camo in the bushes. right before sundown i saw this big bruiser walking over. once he started rolling in the mud, i shot him through the neck with my .06. i wasn't sure if the bullet would penetrate the armor, plus i was pretty close. he fell and started squelling. 2 more shots in the head did the trick. he is the biggest boar i have ever seen. not sure of is weight, never measured him- somewhere in the 350 maybe 400 pounds who knows.
