We drove way out in the desert to take some lightning pics, and the storm stopped after one shot. :mad-fumin-red:

My wife did pretty good with this shot. The image quality was reduced because she has the original for sale.

We used a "hair trigger" when we were kids.
If my brothers' hair stood on end, the lightning would soon follow.

Kit Fox, are you using a lightning trigger ?

We set the camera to use our infrared remote, and had the camera on a tripod. The shutter speed was set to "bulb." We opened the camera shutter, and then waited for lightning to strike. That particular shot took 95 seconds for the lightning to strike. Once the struck was over, my wife pused the button again, and closed the shutter.

This second shot took 278 seconds, and this was all we got.
