We had been hunting for 1 day, and had already seen three other groups of pig's when we came across this group of three 150 pounders. They must have smelled us as they were 65 yards away looking right at and just froze. I took the first shot with my 30/30 the round hit right behind them which caused them to run towards us and to our left. We just started shooting like WWIII. The pigs ran over a small hill 20 ft and we gave chase, me to the bottom after one pig, my little brother on the top after the other two. Got to the top of the hill and started shooting again, I missed but my Bro hit one of the pigs in the back strap. He went down for a few seconds and then got back up and went another 30 ft. before he dropped again. I thought it was a good hit so we backed off for a few minutes to let him die. After about five minutes I went to check things out. As I approached the pig I yelled to my little brother he was dead! I was wrong, the pig jumped up and tried to run away, the only problem was his rear legs were paralyzed. He made it about 25-30 ft before I put one behind his ear to finish him off.

I know its supposed to be one shot one kill but....................12 shots one kill????

Either way there is meat on the table thanks to the Beowulf .50!

This was at a 2000 acre piece of private property LOADED with Hogs, Deer, Turkey, Quail, Grouse........etc. That I hunt. Honestly this place is like Africa with all the wild life. I saw a bachelor heard of Stags (over 10 deer) all with HUGE racks!!!

Wow, nice pig. Seeing that everyone on here is landing a pig or two is making me crazy. I've been pig hunting for 3 years on public lands with no success. Maybe private lands and ranches is really the way to go. I just can't cough up the money some places are expecting.

Is this a pay-to-play ranch? Or are you guys friendly with the owners?

If it is accessible, I'd love to get the name.

That's a wicked little carbine, how's the kick?
