Saw 3 small pigs driving in to evening spot. One shot far off, not sure who. Xdhunter just spotted pig above us and they are moving around to kill it or drive it down to us. Nice day on the ranch

Eric (XDhunter) got 1 last night. Other pig still being looked 4. Shot just fired down on ghegus ridge it sounded like. No snakes, roads in good shape.

Big cougar seen last night at cattle trough in bear trap canyon by corral by rich m. More shots this morning over on east end of gheghus or Tunis ridge. Clear, no fog, ants control all the good trees to sit against.

5 pigs down right now, nick, Adam w big boar maybe 225 lbs, phil, Eric, I missed a 275 yard shot at a big boar last night. Great feast last night on elk backstraps n burgers and axis. Sol and min just tried a stalk across from us on several groups of hogs but wind busted them. Eric and Jim dropping down on hogs on my side of canyon now. 15 hunters here, one no show

1 of the guides here with fu macho mustache got run up a tree yesterday by boar, had to shot it. No shots yet this mornin. min stripped down to longjohns taking break on far ridge, tejon hills kicking his tail. Foxtails still suck.

Good Times

I put in for spring membership this year, so my hunting is a little more leisurely than the intensity of a POR. After an evening hunt without nothing stepping out in front of my .357 I paid the JHO crew a visit. Good times! Eric's burgers and backstrap were fantastic - thanks for sharing.

I helped Adam on his hog's back side piping and in return he donated the innards to my ziplock bag! His .300 WSM did a number on the pig. The heart had a clean cut through it and the liver was about 1/3 gone. He shot it so close to camp that he didn't even gut it in the field! Now that's just not fair!

Some of the guys still hogless last night were planning on hitting the hell hole spots this morning. That's a smart move! You will get a hog. Only down side is that then you will be a mile and 1000 feet drop from the truck! :rotflmao:

Good Luck to everyone, hope you break the dozen, tell everyone to hang in there til last light. On my first POR with JHO I shot a hog last light on Sunday night! Have a safe trip back!
