Lone Pine 1st period bull

I just got a call from Lone Pine and a friend who drew the 1st period bull tag scored a wide 6x6. He's bringing the skull over tomorrow morning to have a european mount done. I'll post some pics when I get ahold of it.

Loren's tag is 2nd period. I'm not sure, but I think my friend got this bull in the area I pointed Loren to.

Ain't that the truth. DFG said its the lack of iron in the soil. 5 years ago, I took my brother out for his 3rd period cow hunt. Every bull was either missing half or all of their antlers. Most were walking around with just stumps.

Yep Rancho, the whole deal goes in. Elk racks don't fit real well, so I have to get creative with plastic sheeting and duct tape. One of these days I'll make time and build a box that will fit anything.

I'll post pics this afternoon. It's an awesome critter. Somewhere around 47" wide and heavily palmated on the upper 1/3 of the antlers. They only saw 2 bulls that didn't have broken tines.

I'll finally get a chance to look for a decent bull nov 19th if you guys left any running around. Anyone is welcome for scouting, spotting, and cocktails. Loren

Loren-this bull did come out of the area I emailed you about. There was another 6x6 in there that wasn't broken off yet. They got up there 3 days before the opener to scout. Lots of bulls had broken tines and some were broken off at the beams and just had stumps. I wish I was going to be around on the 19th, I'd love to come up, but the wife and I are going to Idaho to look at property that week.
