Longbow Javelina

I'm a little late on the curve but I'm looking at trying for an archery javelina tag for unit 16A. I've never been there, does anyone have any feedback or insight on the area?

Is there a reason you want to hunt 16A?

There are pigs there, no doubt, but there are better units close by, 20C, 20A, 18A etc.

All I have to go by is driving time from S. Calif. and the reports on the AZ Game and Fish website. 16A sounds good from there. You'd champion one of these other units over 16A?

Yes, I can help you in unit 20C. I've seen as many as 50 javelina in one day there.
North of Wickenburg, south of Prescott.

If you are going archery, you can hunt mule deer in the rut at the same time.


You can take I-10 most of the way from SoCal. Appx 5 hours from Anaheim, I would guess.
