Hey guys/gals,
A friend of mine and I will be heading to San Antonio, Texas in March to visit family/friends and do some pig hunting. Wife's family has access to a small piece of hunting land, but was looking to see if anyone here has any first hand experience with any outfitters in the San Antonio area. We plan on hunting pigs for 3-5 days straight, then flying back home. Looking for some reputable/reasonable outfitters in the San Antonio area. Any ranches that just charge a trespass fee?????
Any info would be helpful. We have some outfitters we found on craigslist and the internet, but would like some first hand experience. Also did a search here, but nothing productive came up.

Thanks
JD

You won't find a better outfitter than Rob Kiebler of Fair Chase. Just google his name ("Rob Kiebler Fair Chase") and read the reviews. A couple of things: 1. call him asap, he books up fast; 2. San Antonio is the right airport for his operation; 3. He's loaded with hogs, you won't need but a day; 4. He also has tons of Javelina!!; 5. the food is incredible; 6. If you and you friends are good people, pm me and I have more info for you. Do a search for my handle "wild1" and you'll see that I do hunt hogs - just whacked a public land pig three days ago and posted it here.

Been a while since I posted on here, but I wanted to report on our trip to Texas. Had a great time and saw lots of hogs. Only hunted 2 days, but saw about 50 hogs in the first 4 hours of hunting. Could have killed 20+ hogs if we had hunted all night. Hunted a 1200 acre private ranch in South Texas. Great hunting, great people, lots of fun, and tons of hogs. I will be back next year. Also made some contacts with local ranchers and was invited back to hunt anytime.

Wild1, we never made it to Rod Kiebler's ranch, but I did talk to him on the phone. Next time I will make more time for hunting and less time for visiting family.
