Looking for some Direction

Been hunting in California and not looking for honey holes, but as a turkey hunter and loving both SB and SLO county what national forest or areas should I focus. Family and I are out at Oceano and I just wanted to scout for turkeys on private and public. I would even pay to hunt someone private come spring.

Not that many turkey hunters here that post unless they shoot one. I used to ride my ATV on trails from Pozo/LaPanza down to Rockfront ATV & Upper Oso in Santa Barbara and never saw any Turkeys. The one place I did was on Foxen Canyon Road which was all Private Property. There are Quail in these areas and you could hunt both if the seasons overlap.

Most of the good turkey hunting is up north and usually requires a draw for public.
