Well we are already into May now and it is hard to imagine Deer season and Waterfowl season is right around the corner. That also means my Wild Game Feed will be coming up in 4 months!!!
I am looking for individuals that would be willing to join the committee to help raise money for the ducks and California Waterfowl. As a committee member you get to enjoy a free meal of assorted wild game the night of the dinner. A great night full of fun including, both a silent & live auction, various games and of course the raffle prizes. This dinner sells out every year with 400 people in attendance making it one of the most sot after dinner tickets in the Sacramento area. I have already sold 7 sponsor tables for this event and I haven't even printed the dinner tickets yet! We always offer handguns in the raffle and games at this event. Every year, each Sprig in attendance receives a $50 savings bond through the generous donations of our youth sponsors.
What I ask of the committee is to help seek donations that can be used the night of the dinner. Help set up and break down the hall the day of the dinner. Attend the kick off meeting in late June and enjoy some pizza, wild game snacks and some booze. Seeking donations is not that hard to do and takes about 10 to 20 minutes out of your day to do. If 1 committee member is able to receive 5 donations between now and the dinner, it will help cut the cost of the dinner by 15%. 15% may not sound like much, but imagine if 10 people joined up and each received 5 donations! That helps the overall bottom line and net money raised for the ducks.
