Does anyone have a working link to the 1994 Los Angeles Firearms Discharge Map? I've found old links on this website but they're all broken. I want to start scouting D11 (Angeles National Forest) and I can't seem to find any sort of reference map. Would really appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know what agency or entity is even in charge of that law? Is it a County ordinance? Who would you even call?

The Los Angeles Sheriff's Office enforces the ordinance. The Lancaster LASO station used to have copies of the map. I'm not sure if they still have them but it might be worth a call.

OP here. I found this on a random Facebook post. It's blurry but hopefully it helps.

I have an original map. I'll send it to you. DM me an address.

You should be able to send me your address through a direct message email. Since I replied to your post regarding the LA County map, I have received several requests from other JHO members wanting the map. I promised this map to you, so I will hold it until you get back to me. I had six maps at one time but I have given them all away, mostly to JHO members, except for this last one. This is the original wall map, about 18"x24".

I see the option now. Just PM'd you!

lock3d - Well, nuts! I deleted your DM with your address. The good news is, we found the LA map while unpacking some boxes. I was wrong on the measurements - the map is 33"x22". Send me your address again and I'll put it in the mail on the same day.

I received the map from @#1Predator. I'm going to Fedex to have it scanned (probably this weekend but at the latest next week). DM me if you want a copy.

Good luck and good hunting, lock3d. I got these maps when I was on the job. I've never hunted LACo but I worked this area a lot. Coffee, ahi tuna sandwich and a piece of pie or cobbler a la mode at Newcomb's Ranch was my favorite stop. After I retired, I would still make a day trip up there once in a while. I was sad to see that it closed during Covid.

Some interesting incidents up there at Newcomb's. We had a bear cub stuck in a grease vat at the restaurant and a biker got t-boned by a bear (yup, the bear ran right into the motorcycle) with the biker being taken to the hospital. The bear ran off never to be found.
