I'm talking about the river below (west of) lake Isabella along the 178. What i'd like to know are the following things.....
1)-what species are in there? (trout and bass, but what else?)
2)-what lures/bait to use? (we used rooster tails and crawlers)
3)-where are some good areas along the river?
4)-how to target bigger fish (we caught all small fish)
5)-what are the fish we saw that have an orange color? they were pretty big, but we didnt get a good enough look to see what they were.
i went there today with a friend and we fished in an area about 5 miles above where you 1st see the river when going up the 178. We were suprised to find that we only caught one trout, but about 10 small bass !! I never knew there were bass in there, but they were too small.........all except one that is. We'd like to catch both bass and trout, but not so many tiny ones !
Thanks,-Dale
