yep, if you go to Hot Buy Electronics website and look at their policies page, you will see the following:
USA Warranty may be additional.
just so you know this is a tipoff to a gray-market seller.

Best price for a reputable supplier I could find is Focus Camera at $949 for the Swaro 10x42 SLC. This is the bottom for someone who isn't a rip off company.

http://focuscamera.com/index.asp

10x50 are running at $1145 at Focus

Leica's new Ultravids at Focus are

10x50 $1445
10x42 $1340
12x50 $1445

Focus was out of stock for 2 weeks with the Swaros so I went with the Leica Ultravids 10x42 from Bear Basin. $1345.

I bought the Ziess/Jenna EDF 7x40's Made in East Germany at the Ziess factory. The best glass I've looked through including the 1000 $ plus models. $499 is what they cost. Deuscth Optics, but check the spelling

Wish I had a pair of those ELs. Maybe the best on the market. They are nice.

I had a pair of Nikon Porro prisms and thought they were good. Dad has them now. I got burned on a used pair of Bruntons off e-bay. People's views of excellent condition differ greatly. Those thinks were missing a housing screw, had a torn eye-piece and he must have let his kids use them while they ate cotton candy. Filthy and sticky....the exterior housing looked like a school bus floor. I sold them to my brother-in-law to cut my losses. I threw a fit and my wife told me to shut up and buy a nice pair so she wouldn't have to listen to my whining. I ordered a pair of black 10 x 42 SLCs. Absolutely awesome binoculars. I love her.

Got a pair of EL's for Xmas, using them this month for Javelina, they really take glassing to a new level.
