Nothing else?

They all got skunked...Too much time in camp playing yahtzee and talking about gardening rather than hunting!

I guess I can't post my hunt last night until speckmisser gets back with the pictures. I'll just say Speck knows where the pigs are and was a great help boning and packing out last night.

The pigs were down deep in the h#ll holes and a few went home in coolers. It was great having all you guys in camp this weekend see ya in May.

I think these guys are confused. Instead of shooting pigs they had each other squealing like a pig. I won't even go into what they thought "boning" the pig was all about.

The only way to prove me wrong is with PICTURES!

Ok, Here you go!!
Got out Friday night to sit on a ridge as the sun got closer to going down when all of a sudden I am startled by four pigs running down a draw across from me. I previously scanned that area at 250 yards, so I figured I'd wait till they got to the bottom of the hill. Once they got to the bottom they headed down wind from me along the bed of a wide flat canyon. My only option was to hustle over a few draws in an attempt to cut them off. I ran without keeping an eye on the pigs...when I finely covered the distance, I quickly cut across the canyon. When I got to the other sided, they were nowhere in sight....no sounds as well. I figured I had missed them, or I am way ahead of them (which in my mind was highly unlikely). So, I decide to ascend the same hillside the pigs came down and back track to wards where I first sighted them....nothing! Figuring I missed them, I decided to sit the last 45 minutes of sun light in the hopes more piggies would come. While glassing, I decided to glass in the far distance back to wards the mouth of the canyon, when all of a sudden a see a big fat pig grazing all by himself. Being way to far for a shot, I decided to side hike the hill and try to get to him before he decides to bolt. After closing the distance, and now out of sight, I go over a hill to find a Piglet(actually bigger then a piglet), two mid sized sows, a big boar(I'm not good at judging....but it had to be over 200). This was the same group that I had tried to cut off. I think they may have heard me or just decided to turn around and go in the other direction. I was a mere 30 yards from them, with the wind completely in my favor. As I glassed this big Boar I check to see his "member" hanging, which was a clear sign, so I shouldered the 30-06 and put my cross hairs on him....when all of a sudden I now see 2 "members" hanging down from "him"!! I went back to the binos to comfirm...it was a big sow with a single youngster following her around. Not sure if I should take the shot....just a few ours of hearing the lecture from Barbara about not shooting wet sows...I reluctantly decided to take one of the other sows instead. After looking over the other two sows, I decide to take the lighter colored pig. I center the crosshairs....BOOM.....Squeel...a 25 yard run and she is down!!! Her weight was estimated at ~140-150....bigger then my last 2007 JHO Hunt.

Great Hunt....more pigs down.....and more Truck issues!!!!!

I'll let the rest of the guys fill you in!

Great hunting with the guys from JHO!
Always great camaraderie!
Always some great experiences to share!

Thanks for one heck of a memorable hunt!!
Thanks Speckmisser!!
