JOPLIN, Mo. – Trees are planted for a variety of reasons. Aesthetics, wildlife habitat, shade, energy conservation, erosion reduction, and in remembrance of an event or person are just a few of the reasons people like to add trees to their property.
Whenever you’re thinking about adding trees to your property, planning should come before planting. The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) will hold three free tree selection and planting workshops in southwest Missouri in March. Workshops are scheduled for:
