Thinking about heading to Vandenberg if I can get my buddies to head up there. Or maybe my wife (hasn't been in the hunting mood since shes been pregnant, so probably not that option) Good luck if you do go though. I'm guessing its going to be crowded.

A question for you regulars. If I mail in for a 2 day permit this Monday the can I expect to get my permit before Friday the 1st of June? Also, the way I understand it I can submit $25 if I only plan to hunt for pig, is this correct? Thanks in advance for any help.

No is the answer to your first question.It takes them two weeks to process a hunting application,if you want to hunt memorial weekend this is what you are going to do,buy a $20 and $25 money order(separate) fillup the 2012 hunting application present it at the registration window Friday afternoon or the day of the hunt. The $20 fee is for processing while you wait.

Sometimes they do sometimes they don't.i don't want to say yes and ruin your hunt......it's up to you to decide.

Something is afoot at FHL

The Admiral and I are in King City and at Keefer's Motel where we are staying are more than a dozen pick up and other trucks from three DOT certified companies. We asked one of the guys and his company is putting up huge tents for training activities to happen at FHL. I didn't get more intel but something is definitely afoot at FHL for the near future. I couldn't see anything on the FHL web site. If I see the guys this evening, I'll see if I can get more intel.
