Mendocino and Lake County upland bird and small game

My wife and I love camping and hunting in Mendocino national forest above upper lake and all over the are, but after the fires we are having trouble finding places to hunt and camp (talking birds, squirrel, deer, Turkey) within three hours of Sonoma county any info on the MNF or other areas would be great, thanks

How far is Shasta NF

Shasta NF is about 41/2 hours, I’m in Sonoma county. I trout fish and soon hunt Hat Creek or Old Station area, but want to hunt my local area ( Sonoma, Mendocino )
