hello all me and my cousin have been wanting to go

hunting bad with a guide has anyone hunted with mike. The name is mike berry guide service. I would like to know any info if it were good or bad. thanks.

Im not sure were he guides at. I think he lives in the bakersfield area. I talked to him ounce about two years ago and he told me that we will see hogs and I would get a shot off and it sounded pretty good to me. but i was at work one day and i was talking about his outfit and one of the guys said that he knew him and wouldnt go with him so i went elsewere.

It's not the same guy I was thinking of. This guy was out of Soledad(south of Salinas). I didn't get the hunt I asked for, he used dogs even though I told him several times that I didn't want to do it that way. It's been a while. 1996 and the guys name was Jim I realize now that I looked up the pictures in my album.
Good luck, let me know if you find anyone good, I'm in Merced so I'm not far. I haven't had much luck finding anyone around here.

I hunted with a Mike Berry for a couple years. I haven't seen him for about 4 years though. Does anyone know if this Mike lived in Ventua and is a taxidermist?

I did a hunt with Mike Berry for some exotic sheep. It seemed more like a canned hunt than a true hunt. The animals are just put on as they are needed. He talked about the hogs, but there were none to be seen. If you booked a hog hunt with him, I'm sure you could all have your hogs before lunch.

Hunted with him too and just as JustAl said it's pretty much a canned hunt. He seemed like a nice guy but his reputation around Bakersfield isn't the greatest. From what I understand though his bear hunts are pretty good.

It must not be the same Mike I was thinking of. I've not hunted with him since september of 2002. He lived in Ventura then. Sorry Rudy

Never hunted with the guy but have heard mixed reviews on his operation. Do your homework before you book..Goodluck!!!
