Mom's first bull

My mom has taken a few cows over the years and has always wanted a nice bull.
I had her put in for a unit in Wy that I'm familiar with but haven't been able to draw for like 7 years. Well she drew on the first try as did my buddy and his wife.
So we set up our tent camp as far up the mountain as we could get and had elk all around us.We took 3 bulls in two days, a 7x7,6x6 and a rag horn. Mom took her 6x6 with a long shot from her pre 64 30-06 shooting 165 gr partitions. It was a great hunt! Thanks Wyomomg!

Congrats to your mom! I believe I probably know where that bull was taken. Was it Southwest WY? I live in Rock Springs and that looks like a bull from this side of the state.

I'd say that's a mighty fine piece o' luck ya' got workin' fer yerself....first time outta' the chute an' ya' Draw a good Unit and on top o' that....ya' bring down a fine specimen of an animal...congrats to ya' and enjoy all that Good Eatin'...you surely earned it! Now, if'n you can just help ta' put yore boy on an animal of some stature, so's he won't have ta' live-down all that raggin' around the campfire he's a gonna be takin' fer the next while er' so!!! Thanks guys it was a great time for sure! I've heard from friends thou that the elk hunting in parts of MT. and ID is really bad due to the wolves.
One group hunted hard for 14 days and saw 6 black bears but not a single elk, thats terrible isn't it!
