Man you sure are a pig when it comes to pigs!!!! I really like how you switch from the .300 winmag to the .270!!! If you ever get up this way, north of SF I would love to process a hog for you.

Keep it up!!

thanks guys, bux, my kahles scope on my 300mag sprung a leak during the last outing in the rain..completly fogged up!! had to send it back to the factory in AUSTRIA!!!! full warranty but man,6 to 8weeks for repair!!!so out came the old .270,
that rifle and i go back along ways as that was my first rifle at the age of 16..
its dropped more hogs than i can fathom, that being said, im head shooting these bastards these days with the copper law in effect, seen to many run off never
to be found again with a pinhole thru both lungs...what a shame,,but thats another topic thats been discussed over and over and over again.....

Bummer about the scope, but apparently the .270 does the job just fine!!!! I'm in the market for a 300mag this year and am looking at the new Rem 700 XHR. I would ideally like a Kimber Montana but there's still time to decide. Lots of time given my current financial situation.

You are the man. That is a great looking hog. Are you going to have that one mounted?

thanks dudes... negative on the mounting..took the meat for sausage and dog food
and kicked the rest down the mountain,if i had another hog mounted in the house ,the wife
would probably leave me.. wait a minute .. that might not be a bad idea afterall:idea-blue:

His majesty "Sir Hatchet" :not-worthy:

Awesome job again, that is one cool (and mean) looking hog!

Congrats and thanks for sharing the great story. You always keep us anticipating the next one.

thursdays absolutely suck for the hogs in your hood. great pig hatch. you could recycle old pig photos at this point, and we wouldnt be the wiser. you have some serious inventory!

i like the revamped winchester M70, if i was new rifle shopping.

rbrown, i to shoot the mdl70 featherweight in .270win, first rifle i ever purchased
at age 16..still stopping hearts to this day, although i put a synthetic stock on it
years back due to abuse of the wood stock,{using it as ar rudder slippin down mountains}i was fortunate to be able to get the aftermarket synthetic snable stock just like the orignal wood... they dont make the synthetic snable stocks anymore....
if i had one rifle that i was only allowed to shoot, that would be it...
