Has anyone put their names on the alternates list before? Just saw that I'm #1891 of 3043 and was wondering what the chances are of the list going that far down once the season starts. I have a trip planned for the end of October into the first few Days of November and if my number isn't drawn that would make the trip a lot less enjoyable.

A few years back I got on the list, but I had a much lower number, around 100 or so if I recall. I got the call that I had a license if I wanted it about August or so time frame. I still had enough time to make plans for the hunt.
