Oh well I just checked mine and after getting drawn twice in the last two years I goose egged too. Now I just have to convince the wife that the money coming back is for a new bow.

Where did you guys draw? There are some areas that are looking at emergency hunting closures. Other areas are looking at eliminating all cow tags.

The wolves are tearing up the elk herds in many areas. We even had an outfitter write the Director FWP to ask for an emergency closure for District 250, which is his hunting district. He stands to lose 75% of his business revenue.

I love hunting in Montana with my friends that live there. After last season I have to ask myself if the price of the tag, airfare, etc is worth it just to see wolf tracks and hearing them howl in the distance? I could accompany them without a gun and save a lot of money by not wasting it on a tag and still have the same chance at an elk-none.
The anti's agenda seems to be working faster than they even imagined. If there's nothing left to hunt, hunters will stop hunting.
I sure hope I'm wrong and that things turn around before it's too late for me to keep going. The clock's ticking.
