I took this photo this past summer (2003) while striper fishing on Lake Hartwell In South Carolina. I couldnt resist pulling out the camera on this sunset.

Here's one from my elk hunt this past November.

Just a plain old Olympus D-380 2.0 megapixel.....nothing fancy.

Caught the sun cutting thru the clouds and lighting up the other peak.....thought it was neat.

I dunno if this is late or not, but I thought I'd post it anyway here's something a little different, I was out fishing at my uncles over the summer, and the same night decided to go change the film in my game cam, as I was walking along the edge of a corn field I found this female Box turtle digging a hole to lay her eggs in, I didn't touch her, just took 2 photos and left her, when I came back later in the week, the hole was smoothed over, I'm assuming she finished laying them and left. I rarely see these turtles anymore so I thought it was pretty cool

Tsmola,

That is a very cool pic. Just the box turtle would be cool, but laying eggs- even cooler.

thanks sdbowyer, I wish she would have started laying them already when I came across her, but I wasn't that lucky, I might have stayed and waited till she did start laying them, but the mosquitoes were killer and it was almost dark so I left

Wow Tsmola, that's neat.

We see box turtles on our old farm in Missouri a lot. I've seen bazillions over the years and never any eggs.

One year I went to gather the shells for making turkey calls and I couldn't find a one. Usually I would find at least one a day while deer hunting.
