Well, we finally founds the pigs again. Had been seeing a lot sign in one area over the past couple weeks and hadn't seen a pig one for quite some time. Made the trek back to the spot again this morning and it paid off.

I spotted the first pig at about 100 yards midway up the hillside. Shane spotted it right after I did and the hunt was on. Pigs bolted from left to right and we got ready to shoot. I told Shane I was tracking the second pig in the line and fired...down she went with a direct hit to the neck. #1 down. Shane picked up the third pig and fired once. The young boar stumbled and kept on trucking. Shane fired round two and asked me for a third after the pig was still booking it (gotta love the copper). It was starting to quarter away from us and I put it down with shot #3. Pig #2 tagged.

After basking in the glory of finally finding them again, the reality of the drag ahead of us set in....man, what a long day.

His boar was about 140# and my old sow was eveyr bit of 175#. Not the biggest but still enough to fill the freezers. Enjoy fellas.

Purty work! Two down on a morning hunt... but I can imagine what you were thinking once they were on the ground. Twice as much work getting back to the truck!

Congratulations, one of them looks like it's stiff enough to hold up its head. Beautiful pictures.
