Report from last night was 1 of the north cal boys stuck 1 late and they were tracking it. Brut and his pops have 1 each hanging.

First let me say that a weekend at Choppers is way more that I was expecting.

I probably shouldn't be saying this because I don't want everyone in the world to know what a great operation he is running, but that ranch and his hospitality are fantastic. He goes the extra mile to make sure you get into pigs
Thursday started with a tour of the ranch and suggestions on where and how to hunt those areas pointed out. A word of advice....If Chopper says there are pigs in a certain area..........then be ready because you WILL run into pigs!!
I ran into pigs the first evening but a stupid mistake on my part of not turning off my radio spooked them and blew my opportunity, The next two days I heard pigs but couldn't get on them. Saturday I ask for a little advice from Chopper and followed the directions given. I was on to pigs a half hour later and got a shot at one in it's bed. I put an arrow in its back while it slept, It immediately dove into an acre of six foot tall poison oak and I could hear it thrashing around..I left and called Chopper..In an hour he had a pack of the meanest Catahoula dogs and were combing the area. It was dark and we came up empty handed My hit must have been off the shoulder blade an that hog must have gotten out of the area when we weren't around.
In all there were two hogs taken and two wounded, and arrows flying left and right. I think everyone got off shots and I know everyone had a great time.
I cant wait to get out there again

Got a couple text messages last night from Chopper... sounds like you guys had another great hunt.

Scott, that info you just gave is key to having an awesome hunt with Chopper... if he says there are pigs in a spot, then when you get to that spot you better be ready for pigs.

Yes the Oreo hog is still running around he is one of the three pigs that I chocked on
