I went out to have a look around last night and found these two muleys laying in a slough in a chick pea field. I decided to try and get in on them. I had to belly crawl through the field until I was as close as I dared get. Then I was just waiting for them to stand so I could take their photo. They would not get up and the sun was setting so I had to let them know I was there so I could get a photo. I let out a loud bark and one stood up and as it started to move away the other stood up. The photos turned out pretty good against the sunset. There were deer just piling into the field to the north after the sun set. Deer just love chick peas. There is no hunting to the north in the pasture where they were coming from either because it is the bull field for the local community pasture, and has bulls in it year round.
This is all I could see while they were bedded
