Ok. I have been real slow in starting this year. I have not been out much due to a severe winter here. Snow has been too deep and deer have been in neighborhoods so access is rough. My usual shed spots probably wont produce this year.

Here was my first. A fresh 2 point.

We also have a serious coyote problem here. The first one I found was a buck that had shed. The second was a fresh doe within about 100 yards from the first. I followed the tracks out of the trees and found the culprit on the hillside watching me. I didnt have a gun or he would have been history.

This is my little buddy. He is 6 years old and the best shed hunting partner a dad could ask for. He has the drive and desire to find sheds just like dad. He is always ribbing me to go shedding.

Nice Pictures! Since you can't pick up the skulls, can you cut the horns off of them and keep them or is that also not allowed??

It really stinks in Utah. If they are not actual sheds with a burr, They are not legal to posess. If it is attached to a skull you should have a valid hunting liscence for it. However I have antlers that I have bought that I do not have a tag for and did not even come from Utah. I dont know how far the fish and game would actually pursue something like that but I just leave them lay to avoid problems.

Jason you're getting into the sheds real good even for a bad year! One thing though....with that lake in the background, I know right where you are buddy! To the left of that forky shed on the ground was a nice 4x4 but I thought you'd like forky so I left it there just for you

Just kidding bro! Nice pics...

That's some nice looking sheds!!

That's a shame about not being able to pick up skulls when all they'll do is rot or feed the rodents.
That's great to see the little one following dads love and passion for the sheds too.You never have a bad day when the little ones are with you.Good luck to both of you with the sheds and making many memories!!

Thanks Bill for the ribbing. I can always count on you for that!

Deershed, I hate leaving skulls behind real bad.

I took my shed buddy out again today for a couple hours and found this real cool spike shed. Check it out. We also found a fox skull but I forgot to take a picture of it.

Here is my shed buddy with the spike shed. It really shows how nice of an antler it is. This is the first spike I have ever found. Notice the eye guard.

Looks like you found a new honeyhole near C.H.'s...Your secret's safe with me. BTW, I'm glad Jordan's such an enthusiast. You've got quite a good shed hunting partner. Of course one of the good thing about shedding is that trout, turkey and spring bear season's right around the corner....no better way to kick off Spring than shed huntin' for those with the sheddin' fever...haven't seen those bull elk from last year yet...they should be pretty good when I find 'em this year. I'll let you know if I see them so you can try to find 'em if you want :) That snow is just melted enough now to get up there now I think. The deer have definately moved up the hill a bit around here too.

That would be cool to pick up some elk sheds. I am not sure what c.h. is. Lets talk and I can find out where you mean.
